Kwambox cautions Kenyans after exposing house help who stole valuables over several weeks
By Paulette Mboga, February 17, 2026Media personality Sheila Kwamboka, popularly known as Kwambox, has warned Kenyans to be careful who they bring into their homes after discovering that a house help had stolen several items over time.
In a video on Instagram on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, she said, “Be careful who you bring to your house. I am telling you guys there is absolutely nobody who is trustworthy.”
She explained that the woman used to clean his house and would come weekly to work.
She said he began to feel uneasy about the situation before the issue came to light.
“My gut just started telling me mhm mhm,” she said.
She added that something happened that led her to let the woman go.

“So anyway, something happened, I had to let her go, and then she flipped it on me,” Kwambox said.
After parting ways with the house help, she said he started noticing items missing from his home. He explained that the discovery did not happen at once but over time.
“That is when I knew, ehh, always trust your gut,” he said as he spoke about his experience.
Stolen items and warning
Kwambox said the losses became clear as he went through his belongings.
“So these last two weeks I have been going through my things and realising how many things this woman stole,” she said.
She listed items she says were taken from her house over the weeks.

She said the items included everyday things that he needed.
“I am talking even about medicine. Okay? Like medicine,” she said.
She added that other personal items were also missing. “Shoes, clothes – when she sees things in pairs, she will steal one,” Kwambox said.
She also shared his view on people she now says she does not trust.
“Especially those who say ‘ohh naenda kanisa’ or ‘oh sijui nini nini’, those ones,” she said.
She added that this experience has changed how she views people she lets into her space.
Kwambox ended her warning by urging others to be careful with whom they allow into their homes.
“Trust no one; you will thank me later,” she said.
