Kenya’s Jason Derulo doppelgänger Remcy Don throws shade at Obinna after losing Ksh1M

Kenya’s Jason Derulo doppelgänger, Remcy Don, on Sunday, January 25, 2026, aimed shots towards YouTuber Steve Thompson Maghana, alias Oga Obinna, over a bet.
Through his Facebook account, the Derulo lookalike offered a cheeky piece of advice to the YouTuber after he lost a Ksh1 million bet.
In his advice, Remcy Don told Obinna to direct his money to better use next time, rather than wasting it on betting.
He went ahead and suggested to the YouTuber that, should he feel like he has a lot of money, he ought to direct it to an orphanage and help.
“Pole sana my Guy next time Ukiona uko na pesa mingi tembea hata kwa ka orphanage ununulie watoto soda 😂😂GGMU 💯🤟” he wrote.
Loosely translating to “So sorry, my guy. Next time you see you have too much money, just visit an orphanage and buy the children some soda. 😂😂 GGMU (Glory Glory Man United) 💯🤟” he wrote.
This came after the final whistle was blown in a highly contested match between Arsenal and Manchester United.
The bet
Earlier in the day, Obinna made it known through his social media platforms that he had placed a Ksh1 million bet in favour of Arsenal, and it was this that left many talking.
“Nayo nayo Arsenal tafadhali. I said that I was going to bet KSh 1 million. People have been betting and winning; even a friend of mine won some money last week. I want to bet but not blindly, and I won’t bet little money. I want to play it safe. Hii January iishe vizuri,” Obinna said.
Obinna expected to win at least Ksh1.6 million, but things did not go is way as the match ended with Manchester United winning 3:2 against Arsenal.
Although he is yet to respond to the Jason Derulo lookalike, Obinna responded to another post touching on the same subject by simply stating “Tusikutane”, which translates to “Let’s not meet”
