Karangu Muraya sends emotional message after Catherine Wambugu survives tragic accident

Gospel musician Karangu Muraya has shared a deeply emotional message following an accident involving social media personality Catherine Wambugu.
Through a statement in his official Facebook account, Karangu prayed for Wambugu’s quick healing while reacting to the tragic accident which happened on Monday, January 19, 2026, along the Nyeri-Nyahururu highway.
“My blessed sister Catherine Wambugu may Jehovah Rapha have mercy upon you and heal you…..you are in our prayers ” Karangu stated.
He also condoled with families who lost their loved ones in the tragic road accident, which claimed several lives and left others injured.
“To the family and friends of your staff who lost their lives in that accident, May Jehovah comfort them,” he added.
Wambugu’s update after accident
Wambugu, who survived the accident, appealed for prayers, adding that she was fortunate to survive the accident, which happened along the busy Nyeri-Nyahururu highway.
She provided the update in a statement on her Facebook account on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
“Hey good people? I just want to update you that I got an accident yesterday night along Nyeri Nyahururu highway I’m currently hospitalised but fortunate enough I’m ok,” she wrote.
With NTSA raising concerns over the surge in road accidents, she also shared that she lost two friends who were staff at Wambugu Apples.
“Although I lost two good friends who are staffs of Wambugu Apples Teresa Mumbi Mwaniki and Dommie keep me in your thoughts and prayers,” Wambugu added.
