Kanyari issues update after US family vows to pay for Marion Naipei’s rehabilitation

Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has issued an update on social media personality Marion Naipei following concerns raised over her struggles with alcohol.

Speaking during his Wednesday, May 13, 2026 midweek service, Kanyari said several congregants had spoken negatively about the recent behaviour of both Marion Naipei and Manzi wa Mombasa, noting that while the individuals have weaknesses, everyone has their own struggles in life.

“I spoke during our service, and many of my congregants have spoken badly about Manzi wa Mombasa and Marion Naipei regarding their recent habits. They do have weaknesses, I agree, but everyone has their weaknesses,” he said.

Kanyari then revealed that a family from the United States had reached out to him expressing willingness to support Marion by facilitating her admission to a rehabilitation centre to help her deal with alcohol-related challenges.

He stated that if Marion agrees to the arrangement, he will personally connect her with the family and further support her by paying her rent for up to one year to help her stabilise her life.

According to the preacher, his intention is to ensure Marion receives the help she needs rather than facing public embarrassment or isolation due to her struggles.

“Now a family from the USA has contacted me and said they would like to take Marion Naipei to a rehabilitation centre because they have also seen that she has a problem with alcohol. So if Marion agrees, I will connect her with that family,” Kanyari said.

Kanyari further disclosed that he had already sent money to Marion earlier, saying he understands she is going through difficulties and needs support rather than judgment.

He added that he instructed his secretary to send Ksh10,000 to Marion, although she did not acknowledge receipt of the funds, something he said did not change his willingness to support her.

“I will also support her further by topping up her rent, even if it will be for one year, so that she can move on with life. I love Marion and I will always support her and will never leave her to suffer embarrassment. That is why even yesterday I sent her some money on her phone because I know she has a problem. I also told my secretary to send Marion Ksh10,000,” he said.

The preacher insisted that the church should stand with people facing personal challenges, emphasising that compassion and assistance should come before criticism.

Kanyari maintained that he will continue supporting Marion Naipei, saying he cares for her and does not want to see her suffer or face public humiliation.

“She did not even call to say thank you, but I also did not call her because she is still my good friend. Let us stand with people who have problems and weaknesses,” Kanyari said
