Juliani says more women rejected the Russian guy than those who accepted him

Kenyan musician Juliani has now said the number of those who rejected the Russian guy is more than those who agreed to his plans.
In a short post on X on Saturday, February 14, 2026, Juliani openly and indirectly commended women, pushing back against the perception that many cannot pass a morality test.
He went on to say that the narrative online does not reflect the full picture.
Russian Guy viral videos debate
The so-called Russian Guy has been trending online after sharing videos of himself approaching women on the streets of Nairobi.

In several clips, he is seen engaging them in conversation before later posting follow-up videos filmed inside short-stay rooms.
Although nothing explicit is shown, the content has stirred debate around consent, privacy, and exploitation.
Critics have questioned whether the women fully understood how the videos would be used and shared online. Others have raised concerns about how the clips may shape public perception of Kenyan women.
Juliani appeared to challenge that perception.
“The number of women who refused the advances za huyo mos cow ni wengi kuliko wale ali record. But his story is interesting,” he wrote.
His statement suggests that while a few clips have gone viral, many other women may have turned him down, but those moments were not captured or shared.

Consent and online privacy concerns
Juliani also retweeted another X user who questioned the intent behind the viral posts.
“We are very much questioning him. We can do this all day and night, but the fact remains, I am sure Kuna women who were approached and snubbed the guy.
“If he were to post them as well, amekosea pia. He didn’t seek anyone’s consent. That aside, Kuna reason alipost hizi specifically,” the user wrote.

The conversation has since shifted from individual choices to broader issues of digital consent and selective content sharing.
Many Kenyans argue that focusing only on the women who agreed to appear in the videos ignores those who declined and risks creating a misleading narrative.
Juliani’s remarks have added a different angle to the debate, urging the public to consider what is not being shown and to avoid judging an entire group based on curated online content.
