Jude Magambo, Mosiria and other public figures who attended Kanyari’s church on Sunday

Salvation Healing Ministries founder, Pastor Victor Kanyari, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, held a special service in which he invited prominent public figures to headline as chief guests.
The service was a unique Sunday event where members of the church partook in holy communion, as the preacher vowed to continue upgrading the status of his church to become one of the most influential in the country.
The service saw members filling the headquarters hall in Njiiru to the brim, with some having to watch the event from outside, where speakers had been erected to allow them to hear what was being said inside.
While a number of public figures invited by Kanyari attended, here are some of the key guests who were ushered to seats at the front as the service progressed.
Jude Magambo
LGBTQ TikToker and content creator Jude Magambo, popularly known as Manzi wa Meru, attended the service. He was dressed in a matching pair of track pants and a white jacket, with his hair plaited in cornrows.
Jude was received jubilantly upon arrival, prompting Kanyari to pause his preaching momentarily to address the congregation about what the presence of someone often condemned online for their sexuality represented.
“Manzi wa Meru has come to our church, and he is loved. This church belongs to everyone. Even for those who have criticised us, this is their church. We have come a long way as a church,” Kanyari said.

Jude was escorted to a front-row seat next to former Nairobi County CEC Geoffrey Mosiria.
Geoffrey Mosiria
Nairobi’s Citizen Engagement and Customer Service CEC, Geoffrey Mosiria, also attended the service and, according to Kanyari, was the main chief guest.
Mosiria arrived at the church with a few friends, and the congregation erupted in jubilation as he entered. A section of men, who act as Kanyari’s bodyguards, escorted him through the hall until he reached the pulpit, where he was shown to a seat designated for him at the front.
Seated next to Jude Magambo, Mosiria was later given the opportunity to address the congregation.

Mosiria said he was impressed that the preacher publicly acknowledged his mistakes and redirected the funds to support the needy. He compared Kanyari’s actions to the biblical story of Zacchaeus, who repented and paid back after encountering Jesus.
“Leo nimepatana na Zakayo ambaye alichukua Ksh 310 ya Wakenya na ameamua kurudisha. Kama unataka kujua Zakayo wa kweli, ndiye huyu, huyu ndio Zakayo wa kweli,” Mosiria said.
“Leo Zakayo amenionyesha kazi ya Mungu is giving back; leo nimeona anarudisha kile alichochukua kwa jamii kupitia Ksh 310.”
Brian Chira’s grandmother
Esther Njeri, grandmother of the late Brian Chira, also attended the service. Like other prominent guests and TikTok personalities present, she was given a special seat at the front.
The grandmother was elated by the experience and was given a moment to wave to the congregation, who acknowledged her presence with cheers.
Manzi wa Mombasa
Controversial TikToker Manzi wa Mombasa, who recently revealed that she had become a full member of Kanyari’s church, also attended the special service.
Manzi wa Mombasa was seated in the front row, and when it was time to give the offering, Kanyari invited her to come to the front.
He heaped praises on the TikToker and allowed her to cut a cake inside the church in celebration of a child she named after the late TikToker Brian Chira.

During the cake-cutting event, Kanyari danced and encouraged congregants to support the TikToker financially to help her achieve her ambitions.
