Jalang’o hilariously seeks IV drip at KNH after painful Arsenal EPL triumph

Lang’ata Member of Parliament, Phelix Odiwour – famously known to the public as Jalang’o – has sent social media into meltdown after sharing a hilarious video of himself at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

Taking to his accounts on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the staunch Manchester United supporter playfully claimed he had checked himself into the medical facility to be administered with water, citing utter exhaustion over bitter rivals Arsenal winning the English Premier League.

In the viral clip, the comedian-turned-politician did not hold back his mock despair as he addressed his followers directly from the hospital corridors.

Niko hapa Kenyatta National Hospital nimekuja kuongezewa maji kufuatilia ushindi wa Arsenal,” a seemingly “distressed” Jalang’o joked, telling fans he needed an IV fluid top-up just to survive the football news.

Unable to mask his playful heartbreak over the Gunners’ triumphant top-flight run, the MP simply added: “I can’t take it.”

Jalang’o’s comical stunt perfectly captures the fierce, unrelenting banter that defines the English Premier League fanbase in Kenya.

As a vocal and incredibly loyal adherent of Manchester United, watching rivals Arsenal close out a spectacular league triumph was evidently too much for the lawmaker to bear without some “medical intervention.”

The lighthearted video has since sparked a wave of hilarious reactions online, with Arsenal fans predictably teasing the MP for his football sorrows, while rival supporters united in solidarity over his hilarious hospital drama.

The Gunners officially secured the 2025/26 English Premier League title following an extraordinary, high-stakes season that went right down to the wire.

Under Mikel Arteta’s relentless tactical brilliance, Arsenal maintained a blistering run of form throughout the campaign, blending defensive resilience with an explosive attack that left their traditional rivals struggling to keep pace.

Their ultimate triumph sparked wild celebrations globally, marking a historic return to the pinnacle of English football.

For fierce rivals and opposing fans, however, the north London club’s coronation was a bitter pill to swallow.

The sheer dominance of the Gunners throughout the season provided endless fuel for intense football banter across social media, pushing opposing diehards – much like the “ailing” Langata MP – to humorous extremes just to cope with the reality of Arsenal lifting the coveted trophy.
