Jacque Maribe appeals for financial support to give father a befitting send-off

Former TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has appealed to friends and well-wishers to support her family financially following the passing of her father, Maribe Mwangi.

In a statement released on Friday night, December 26, 2025, Jacque announced that burial arrangements are underway and that her father is set to be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his rural home in Gathaithi Village.

She further disclosed that the memorial service will be held earlier on Sunday, December 28, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. at Worldwide Gospel Church in Buruburu, along Rabai Road, next to Rubis Petrol Station.

“We humbly request your prayers and financial support so that we may give our Mheshimiwa a befitting send-off. Financial contributions to be sent to: Paybill number:* 4813691 *Account Number:* Your Name. We plan to lay him to rest on Wednesday, December 31 2025, at his home in Gathaithi Village,” Jacque’s statement reads.

“A memorial service will be held on Sunday, 28th December 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m., at Worldwide Gospel Church, Buruburu, along Rabai Road, next to Rubis Petrol Station.”

In addition, Jacque stated that burial planning meetings are currently being held daily at the family home, and additional meetings are taking place every day from December 26, starting at 5:00 p.m., as well as ongoing meetings at the family’s rural home in Gathaithi Village.

His death

According to the statement shared by Jacque, Mwangi passed on peacefully on December 22, 2025, after a long illness that he bravely endured.

He was described as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, in-law, friend, Mheshimiwa, and patron whose life touched many.

“He passed on peacefully on December 22, 2025, after a long illness bravely borne,” Jacque stated.

According to the family, Mwangi had been in and out of the hospital for an extended period, a situation that placed significant financial strain on them. It is for this reason that Jacque Maribe and her family are humbly appealing for prayers and financial support to help accord him a dignified and befitting send-off.

“Maribe had been ailing for quite some time and was in and out of the hospital, which placed a substantial financial strain on the family,” she added.

She noted that further details will be communicated in due course and thanked supporters for standing with them during this difficult time.
