I’m a happily married woman: Hanifa cheekily responds to Valentine’s Day proposal
By Charles Ouma, February 10, 2026Hanifa Adan has cheekily responded to a proposal by Allans Ademba, who wanted the activist to be his valentine.
Ademba made the proposal on his X account on Monday, February 9, 2026, asking the activist to be his valentine.
He accompanied the proposal with a photo showing the two of them (Hanifa and Ademba) together at a shopping mall.
“@Honeyfarsafi, will you be my Valentine?” Ademba stated, making his intentions known.
The proposal caught Hanifa’s eyes, and a few hours later, the activist responded, killing Ademba’s dreams of having her as his valentine.

She politely declined, reminding Ademba that she is happily married, an indication that her status is one of the major reasons for not warming up to his proposal.
“I’m a happily married woman, mzee,” she responded on X on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Both Ademba and Hanifa gained fame following their involvement in the protests that rocked the nation in 2024.
While Hanifa was a fierce activist pushing for change in Kenya and helping victims of brutality as Kenyans took to the streets to reject the Finance Bill 2024, Ademba was also on the streets armed with a camera and documenting history as it unfolded right before his eyes.
With days to February 14, 2026, excitement has swept through social media, with celebrities warming up to the day with bold proposals and romantic gestures.
