‘I was looking forward to his class today’ – Millie Odhiambo mourns her lecturer
By Charles Ouma, March 19, 2026Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhimabo has mourned the death of her lecturer, Dr Yugi, revealing that she was looking for his class today but only got the sad news.
The MP revealed that when she went back to school last year, the deceased covered Organisational Development, which she enjoyed and became one of her best classes.
“I went back to school last year. I have got to meet new people and forge new friendships. I have enjoyed acquiring new knowledge. One of my best classes is Organisational Development by Dr Yugi,” Millie said on Facebook on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

The lawmaker reflected on life, noting that it is very brief, as she came to terms with the sad news of her lecturer’s demise.

“I really struggled to participate even for the shortest time last week, even though I was travelling, but I did not succeed. Was looking forward to the class today, but instead, the news is of the passing on of the lecturer. Indeed, life at best is very brief. This is sad,” she added.
The lawmaker narrated that she attempted to join the class last week amid her travels but could not.
Millie was in Australia, where she was crowned Legetyo, House of Mumbi, and Ligisa Queen, three crowns that make her a queenpin.
MP honoured with award in Australia
The lawmaker celebrated adding another feather to her cap with a beautiful statement on social media, hailing herself as Queenpin.
“Men have been all over ATI; they are kingpins. I was also crowned Legetyo, House of Mumbi, and Ligisa Queen. I am now a queenpin,” she wrote on Facebook on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The vocal lawmaker was feted at a glamorous International Women’s Day event in Adelaide, Australia.
The event was organised by Legetyo Queens in collaboration with House of Mumbi and brought together champions of women’s empowerment.
She jetted back to the country recently and was ready for another interesting class when the lecturer died.
