Award-winning singer Nadia Mukami has sent shockwaves through the East African entertainment scene after announcing a heartbreaking and permanent split from her partner, fellow music star Arrow Bwoy.

Taking to her Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2026, the mother-of-two penned a deeply raw and candid statement outlining the emotional toll of the past 18 months, during which the couple had been locked in an on-and-off relationship.

In the emotionally charged post titled “POSTPARTUM & HEARTBREAK,” Nadia confessed that making the final decision to end the relationship was incredibly painful, particularly given their shared responsibilities as parents.

“Over the past few months, I made the difficult decision to go separate ways with my partner,” Nadia wrote.

“This has not been an easy journey for either of us, especially because we were not only partners in life, but also parents to young children who mean the world to us.”

The pop star, who has always been open about her desire for a traditional family dynamic, admitted that she exhaustion had finally taken over.

“I have hoped and prayed that things would have been different for the last 1 and half years as we have been on and off,” she revealed.

“Being a lady that always wanted family; I fought s000 hard but I guess I lost.”

Nadia laid bare the immense mental and physical burden she has carried behind the scenes, contrasting her glamorous public image with the reality of her domestic struggles.

She detailed the agonizing reality of navigating early motherhood alongside a devastating breakup.

“As a mother, this transition has affected me deeply emotionally, mentally, and personally,” she explained.

“Balancing motherhood, healing, work, and public life while trying to remain strong for my children has been one of the hardest experiences I have faced.”

In a particularly striking sentence that highlighted her distress, the singer added: “Battling postpartum, a new baby, a failed relationship, a toddler, public image, business & career should be added to a million ways to die.”

Despite the clear heartbreak, Nadia closed her statement with a reassuring note to fans regarding the future of their young family, insisting that both she and Arrow Bwoy will put their differences aside for their children.

“Anyways, despite the changes in our relationship, we remain committed to co-parenting with love, respect, and maturity for the sake of our children’s wellbeing and future,” she stated firmly.

“They deserve peace, stability, and unconditional love from both parents.”

She concluded by offering a note of appreciation to the loyal fan base that has supported her career and personal evolution through thick and thin.

“Thank you to everyone who has continued to support me through both the beautiful and difficult moments of my life and career. With love, Nadia Mukami.”
