Kenya’s leading prankster, Nickson Andere Asitwa, famously known as Nick Bigfish, had fans and followers concerned when he revealed that he had been injured during one of his pranks and was hospitalised.
The shocking news quickly made rounds online, with many sending messages wishing him a speedy recovery.
However, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, the prankster shared the behind-the-scenes truth, showing he was not actually injured, instead, the “injury” was cleverly created with makeup, giving the illusion that his leg was badly hurt.

A section of his fans have been left disappointed after Nicki Bigfish revealed he was not actually injured, with the prank fooling not only the people at the scene but also most Kenyans online who had sympathised with him.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Nicki on Saturday, December 13, 2025, shared an update on his health, a day after posting a distressing video showing him hurt following a prank he was performing.
In the video, he explained that the person he pranked reacted seriously, which led to him sustaining a severe leg injury with visible bleeding. “Nilifanya prank, but aka take it seriously,” Nicki said.
In another post, he shared his photos while in a hospital bed undergoing treatment and expressed gratitude to everyone who checked in on him, rushed to assist him immediately after the accident, and continued to keep him in their thoughts and prayers while he received treatment.

“I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who stood by me after I got injured while shooting a prank. That moment shook me, but your calls, messages, prayers, and genuine concern gave me so much strength,” Nicki wrote.
“I’m grateful to the friends who checked in, those who rushed to help, and everyone who kept me in their thoughts. Your support reminded me how blessed I am to have a community that cares.I’m healing well and feeling much better now. Thank you for walking with me through that difficult moment. I don’t take it for granted.”
