Gospel singer Essy Wa Milly discharged from hospital after 4 days of tension
By Steve Ireri, January 16, 2026Gospel singer Pastor Essy Wa Milly has been discharged from Saika Nursing Home in Nairobi after a tense four-day hospital stay that had fans concerned about her well-being.
The Kigooco songstress confirmed her release in a Facebook post on Friday, January 16, 2026, expressing heartfelt gratitude to her fans and supporters for their prayers, visits, phone calls, and overall encouragement throughout her stay.
“Thank you all for your prayers, visiting, support and even the countless calls. God bless you all,” she wrote.
She also acknowledged the nursing home staff for taking care of her during the period.
“Thank you to @saika nursing home for taking care of me,” she added.

In a post shared just hours before her discharge, Essy reflected on her health challenges, emphasising that holding on to faith does not make life free of difficulties, but provides the strength to overcome them.
“Holding on to God doesn’t mean your life will be problem-free; challenges will come, but you’ll face them with confidence knowing that God will give you the strength to overcome,” she wrote.
Alongside this message, she shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, looking sombre, showing the emotional and physical strain of her stay.
Hospitalisation update
Previously, K24 Digital broke the news that the singer issued an emotional update after spending another day in hospital following her admission on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
She noted that this was one of the very first instances she had been separated from her kids and lamented that it was for reasons that were far from ideal.
“For the first time, I am away from my children, not for a good reason,” the singer wrote.

In an earlier update, Essy had asked God to protect her and heal her despite the uncertainty surrounding her hospitalisation.
She expressed hope that God would perform a miracle for her, assuring that He would not let her children suffer or be left without care.
“Because of Christ and because of my children, I will walk out of this hospital bed well and sound,” the singer wrote.
