Fred Machokaa pens emotional tribute after his uncle’s death

Media personality Fred Obachi Machokaa has shared a heartfelt message mourning the passing of his uncle, Samson Machani Machoka.
In a post shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, April 7, 2027, the radio host expressed gratitude for the time they spent together and the memories they created.
He thanked the Almighty God for blessing his uncle with years on this planet, highlighting the meaningful moments and good times they shared as a family.
“R.I.P Uncle Samson Machani Machoka. We thank the Almighty God for the years He gave you on this planet,” he wrote.
He extended his condolences to his aunt Christine and his siblings Charles, Victor, and Sebastian, acknowledging the grief and loss the family is enduring.
Fred also mentioned his sisters Anne and Georgina, offering comfort and solidarity as they navigate this difficult period. He reflected on the spiritual belief that God’s work has a purpose, emphasising that the passing of his uncle aligns with divine will.
“And the good times we had together. To Auntie Christine, my brothers, Charles, Victor and Sebastian, and to my sisters, Anne and Georgina. Poleni sana. Kazi ya Mungu haina makosa,” Fred added.

Rosa Ree’s father’s burial
In a similarly heartbreaking development, Tanzanian rapper Rosa Ree penned an emotional tribute after her late father, Robert Ephata Meshiko, was given a dignified send-off following his untimely passing.
“Hatimaye tumefanikiwa kumpa baba yetu heshima ya mwisho,” she wrote.
At the same time, she offered an emotional prayer, expressing hope that her father would find eternal peace. Rosa also emphasised that his memory would remain forever in their hearts, vowing never to forget him.
“Gone but never forgotten. Rest Well Baba ❤️🕊️,” she wrote.
The popular rapper’s father tragically passed away on March 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy that Rosa Ree and her family will forever cherish.
In her announcement of his passing, Rosa Ree expressed profound grief over losing her father, Robert Iwole Mongi.
She noted that he had fallen ill for only a short time before passing away in the night.
She provided details of the funeral arrangements for those in Dar Es Salaam, indicating that the service would be held on March 14 at Mapinga Shule, at the home of Regina Robert Iwole, followed by a service in Moshi, Marangu Mtoni.
“We announce with deep sorrow the passing of our father, Mr Robert Iwole Mongi. He had been ill for a short time before passing away in the early hours of today. For those in Dar Es Salaam, the funeral will take place tomorrow, March 14, at 10 p.m. at Mapinga School, at the home of Regina Robert Iwole, and thereafter the service in Moshi, Marangu Mtoni will be announced,” she wrote.

She included a contact number for condolences and messages of sympathy. Rosa Ree wrote emotionally about wishing she could have spoken with her father one last time, shared her final conversations with him, and held him in a final embrace.
“Father, if I had known I would speak with you for the last time, I would have cherished our conversations and spoken with you more. If I had known I would not see you again, I would have come to sit with you and embrace you one final time. Father, you are gone. We still had so much to talk about. Father, you have departed. Go in peace, my father. Thank you, God,” she added.
