Ezekiel Mutua praises Bolo Bespoke and wife after talks on MEMA Awards overhaul
Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has shared a glowing message about fashion designer Bolo Bespoke and his wife Mueni after holding discussions with the couple on ways to improve the Myogenic Excellent Music Awards (MEMA).
In a statement shared on Facebook on Thursday, May 7, 2026, Mutua revealed that he spent the evening with Bolo Bespoke and Mueni at the Serena Hotel, where they discussed possible collaborations aimed at taking the newly launched awards initiative to the next level.
According to Mutua, the discussions focused on strengthening MEMA through partnerships and creative collaboration, particularly by leveraging the influence and digital reach of content creators.
“We spent a delightful evening at the Serena Hotel with Fundi ni Mmoja Africa, Bolo Bespoke, and his wife, Mueni, discussing ways to take MEMA to the next level through collaboration. What a gracious couple,” he wrote.

The MCSK CEO went on to describe Bolo and Mueni as a gracious and inspiring couple, praising the brand they have built together in the digital media industry.
He noted that the two have successfully established themselves as influential voices in the online space, particularly in areas touching on empowerment and inclusion.
Mutua also commended the couple’s personal journey, describing their story as one defined by love, resilience, and determination.
“Bolo and Mueni have built a formidable brand, establishing their authority in the digital media space as a powerful platform for empowerment and inclusion,” he added.
He further expressed optimism about future collaborations between the MEMA awards and the couple, signalling closer working relations ahead as organisers continue building the platform.
“Their story of love and resilience is truly inspiring. We’re excited for closer collaboration ahead. #MEMAISBIG. MEMA is expanding its networks,” he wrote.
MEMA, which stands for Myogenic Excellent Music Awards, was recently launched as a new recognition platform within the entertainment industry. The initiative has attracted notable figures in its leadership and support structures, including Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC).

Strategic discussions
Earlier, Mutua highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen the MEMA brand, revealing that renowned gospel artiste Sir James recently visited the awards secretariat for strategic discussions with the organising team.
According to Mutua, Sir James, who serves as MEMA’s Director for Government Affairs, Creatives and Emerging Economies, held an insightful session with the team as preparations continue for the awards’ expansion activities.
“Renowned gospel artist and MEMA Director for Government Affairs, Creatives & Emerging Economies Sir James visited the Secretariat today and inspired the teams,” he wrote.
He further disclosed that the gospel singer is currently coordinating MEMA county tours scheduled to begin on May 21, 2026, ahead of an international UK tour set for August 13, 2026.
Mutua noted that the meeting with Sir James inspired the MEMA team, as organisers continue positioning the platform as a major player within the gospel and entertainment awards space under the slogan “MEMA IS BIG.”
“Sir James is coordinating the MEMA County tours starting on 21st May and culminating with the UK tour from 13th August 2026. We are grateful Sir for the insightful meeting,” he added.
