The Deliverance Church International Umoja (DCIU) family has been thrown into mourning following the death of its beloved pastor, Rev. Pamela Dreda Oyola, whose passing was announced in an emotional statement shared by the church.

In a statement released on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, church leaders said Rev. Pamela answered her heavenly call on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, describing her death as a shocking loss that has left members struggling to come to terms with the painful news.

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing into glory of God’s servant, our beloved pastor, Rev. Pamela Dreda Oyola, who answered her call to glory on Tuesday, 14th July 2026,” the church said.

The church acknowledged that the heartbreaking news had left many believers grieving and searching for answers, but encouraged members to remain steadfast in their faith, reminding them that God remains faithful even in moments of profound sorrow.

“As our hearts grieve and many questions fill our minds while we process this shocking loss, we hold firmly to the unchanging truth that God is good, and His mercies endure forever. He remains faithful,” the statement read.

Drawing comfort from Scripture, the church said it believes Rev Pamela is now in the presence of Christ, describing her passing not as the end, but as a glorious transition into eternal life.

Quoting Philippians 1:23, the statement said Pastor Pam is now in “a better place,” adding that the Apostle Paul’s words, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain,” continue to offer hope to grieving believers.

Church leaders paid glowing tribute to Rev. Pamela, describing her as a devoted servant of God whose faith never wavered despite the challenges she encountered throughout her life and ministry.

According to the church, she remained committed to preaching the Word of God until her final days, living a life marked by courage, unwavering faith and complete devotion to God’s calling.

“Pastor Pam was a woman of unwavering faith, a courageous fighter who lived by and believed the Word of God until the very end. She devoted her life to serving God and His people,” the church said.

The congregation further expressed confidence that she had now received her eternal reward, saying they believe she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

As members continue to mourn, the church called upon the faithful to unite in prayer and support for Rev. Pamela’s family, particularly her husband, Rev. Ken Oyola, and their two sons, Brighton and Brayden, who are now grieving the loss of a wife and mother.

The church also asked members to remember the family’s relatives and loved ones in prayer, saying this is a season that requires believers to comfort and encourage one another.

“As the DCIU church family, we acknowledge that this is an incredibly difficult season for all of us. In moments like these, we are called to embrace, comfort and encourage one another, beginning with Pastor Pam’s family,” the statement added.

Church leaders further said they are relying on the Holy Spirit for strength and comfort as they navigate the painful period of mourning, expressing confidence that God will continue sustaining the entire congregation through the difficult days ahead.

Even as they grieve, the church celebrated Rev. Pamela’s remarkable legacy, describing her as one of God’s faithful servants whose ministry transformed countless lives through both her preaching and personal example.

According to the statement, her life reflected selfless service, sacrificial leadership and a deep love for both God and humanity, qualities that will continue inspiring generations even after her passing.

The church noted that although Rev. Pamela is no longer physically present, her influence will continue living on through the many people she mentored, the faith she imparted and the Kingdom work she faithfully carried out during her lifetime.

“We thank God for the gift of her life, and we pray that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the hearts and minds of her family, friends and our entire church community,” the statement concluded.
