Eric Omondi shocked to find bar named after his ‘Sisi Kwa Sisi’ initiative

Comedian Eric Omondi has shared his reaction after spotting an entertainment spot sharing the same name with his popular initiative, Sisi Kwa Sisi.
Omondi got emotional upon sighting the entertainment spot and filmed his experience at the outlet named Sisi Kwa Sisi Bar and Restaurant.
“Aaah, hapana. Aje sasa, Hapana. Watu wangu jameni(Aah, no. how now? My people no!” Omondi reacted in a video posted on his official social media accounts on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
He briefly interacted with a lady who was within the vicinity of the entertainment spot, enquiring about a number of items popularly served at such establishments.

The lady readily recognised the renowned comedian and philanthropist as they engaged in a brief banter.
“Niaje, kuna chakula? Manager ako wapi? Kuna uji? (Hi, is food available? Where is the manager? Is porridge available?
Noting the hours of operation of the establishment as “day and night” the comedian promised to patronise the establishment in the future.
“Nitakuja kukula nyam ana nikunywe uji, si umenielewa (I will come to take meat and drink some porridge),” Omondi remarked.
Team Sisi Kwa Sisi
Team Sisi Kwa Sisi refers to the comedian’s loyal battalion of philanthropists and well-wishers who have responded to his every appeal, marshalling resources to support those in difficult financial situations with pressing needs.
At the moment, the comedian is mobilising contributions to support a minor living with disability whose plight touched many hearts.
An update provided by the activist earlier on Thursday, January 29, 2026, indicated that the contributions had crossed Ksh1 million.
Omondi revealed that the minor is currently under assessment and treatment at a local hospital.

He appealed for more support and provided information through which people may contribute to the course.
“Thank you, Team Sisi Kwa Sisi, We are at 1 Million and three Thousand Shillings. Our Son is currently under assessment and Treatment at RFH Hospital. Keep sending whatever you can.
Omondi intervened to help the boy, whom he said has spent seven years locked in a cage.

The comedian has also promised to build a new house for the minor’s grandmother, with the support of well-wishers.
Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, was among the first to highlight the plight of the minor.
