Diana Marua confronts Bahati over delayed wedding after 10 years together
By Valerian Khakayi, May 21, 2026Kenyan Youtuber and influencer Diana Marua has publicly confronted her husband, singer Kevin Bahati, over their long-delayed wedding, questioning why they have never officially walked down the aisle despite being together for nearly a decade.
Speaking during a candid conversation on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Diana expressed her frustration, pointing out that they are about to clock 10 years together without a formal wedding ceremony.
“If I were you, by now, we are going to clock 10 years. Why haven’t you ever put a ring on it?” Diana questioned.

Bahati on grand wedding
Bahati, however, responded by explaining that he has always envisioned a grand wedding experience, revealing that he plans to spend up to Ksh 100 million on the ceremony.
“I am planning to do a wedding that will cost Ksh 100 million. So tukuje hapa kwa video uniambie ,’If I were you, the Ksh 100 million, I would have bought a ranch; I would have invested’,” Bahati responded.
The conversation appeared to grow tense as Diana questioned why the wedding has continued to be postponed, referencing previous promises that had not materialised.
“Hii conversation imehappen sahi. Mbona wedding haijawai happen? Mbona uliambia watu October 20th? Sahi, I look like the laughing stock. ‘huyu anapromisiwa atawalk down the aisle, but nothing is happening,'” she said.
Bahati, in his defence, urged Diana not to be swayed by public opinion or social media criticism regarding their relationship status.
“If I were you, I would not be listening to people and reading people’s comments that are telling you you are a laughing stock,” he said.

Diana also raised concerns about the engagement ring, claiming it was not spiritually blessed and that she had simply asked for a ring to be placed on her finger.
“This ring I begged you to buy for me and it is not blessed by a pastor. I just told you I need a ring on my finger,” Diana said.
Bahati, on his part, insisted that in his view, the two are already married, referencing their long-term cohabitation.
“In fact you arte married, katiba inasema ukikaa na mtu miezi sita mumeowana,”he pointed out.
Bahati has for years publicly promised to wed Diana Marua in a grand and highly anticipated wedding, often hinting at a lavish ceremony that would match their celebrity status. However, despite repeated statements and build-up shared both online and in interviews, the much-talked-about wedding has never materialised.
