Diana Bahati’s ex-nanny Irene celebrates after USA fan gifts her home appliances
By Steve Ireri, May 14, 2026Socialite Diana Marua’s former nanny Irene is overjoyed after a devoted fan from the USA sent her household appliances following her recent move into a one-bedroom house.
Irene, who previously sparked mixed reactions after claiming she was earning over Ksh100,000 while working at the celebrity couple’s home, had been living in a bedsitter where she frequently shared life updates with her followers.
She recently relocated to a one-bedroom house and thanked God for the milestone, saying she was happy that her life was finally taking a turn for the better.
Speaking in a new video shared on Thursday, May 14, 2026, Irene added that her close friend from the USA had gifted her several appliances, including a cooker, which she admitted was among the gifts that excited her the most.
She expressed gratitude for having such supportive friends, adding that she feels like moving into the new house came with a fresh wave of blessings that is now making things work out in her favour.
“Guys, finally, finally… I am Mama Yao. I feel like this house I moved into came with so many blessings for me. Wow, God is so good. A very close friend of mine from the USA, whom I love so much…” she said.

Irene then prayed for God to continue blessing such people in her life so that she may never lack, while also joking that cooking will now be much easier because she can use all four burners on the cooker at the same time.
“May God bless you so much. Imagine she has gifted me this cooker. This cooker I will now be using to prepare different meals at once,” she added.
Irene’s biggest fears
Separately, Irene opened up about the profound impact of the brutal acid attack on SDA singer Mary Claire, revealing that the incident left her shaken and fearful for her own safety.
Speaking in a video shared on her YouTube channel on Saturday, March 28, 2026, Irene explained that while the attack was carried out by someone close to Mary Claire, it raised broader concerns about personal safety and violence.
At the same time, while Claire and the perpetrator were members of the SDA church, Irene emphasised that such acts are not limited to the SDA church but occur across society.
“I wanted to comment on the story of Mary Claire from Kisii. She was a choir member, and by the way, if you don’t know, I am also an SDA church member. Let me start by saying I am sorry for what happened. That incident has made people think the SDA church is very bad,” she said.
Irene shared that the attack changed the way she views her own daily life, noting that she now fears for her safety in public spaces, particularly because of her appearance.
She admitted that she constantly worries that someone could similarly target her, such as pouring hot water or acid on her.
The incident also made her reconsider her perspectives on relationships and marriage, with heightened concern over potential dangers when stepping out or forming romantic commitments.
“On a personal level, I am worried. I wonder, with my beautiful face, what if one day someone does something like pouring hot water on me? We are worried because of that incident, and we are even worried about getting married,” she stated.
