Dem Wa Facebook refutes claims she vowed never to date or marry teachers
By Steve Ireri, February 15, 2026Comedienne Dem Wa Facebook has strongly refuted viral claims suggesting that she vowed never to date or marry a teacher.
In a post shared on Facebook on Sunday, February 15, 2026, she called out the misinformation and urged her followers to report the profile responsible for spreading it.
“Some bloggers, why post false information just to get views and clicks? I have been tagged several times in this post, and it is not right. This is false information,” she wrote.
According to Dem Wa Facebook, the claims are completely false, and she has great respect for teachers.

She emphasised that she has never spoken negatively about educators and has, in fact, collaborated with teachers in various capacities.
She criticised bloggers who post misleading content just to gain clicks and views, warning that such actions misrepresent people and professions.
“I have a lot of respect for teachers. I have never spoken negatively about teachers, and I will never do that. It’s actually ironic since I have worked with teachers before. The person sharing this information, please help me report that profile,” the comedienne added.
Misleading claims
The controversy began after a blogger posted in the Facebook group ‘Teachers Arena’, attributing derogatory statements to Dem Wa Facebook.
The post alleged that she described teaching as the worst career, claimed she could not date a teacher, would not advise her female friends to marry one, and would prevent her child from becoming a teacher. It further implied that teaching is synonymous with poverty.
“Dem Wa Facebook on teachers: Teaching is the worst career. I can’t date a teacher because teachers are the only broke people in the community. I wouldn’t let my child become a teacher, and I can’t advise my female friends to marry teachers. Teaching is synonymous with poverty,” the blogger’s post read in part.

Breast growth
In other news, the digital content creator, born Millicent Ayuwa, celebrated a personal milestone after years of dealing with body shaming.
Despite the challenges that come with pregnancy, Dem Wa Facebook is now embracing her body changes. She added that she can now participate in the viral challenge on TikTok dubbed ‘piga up burukanga’ after her breasts increased in size.
“Kama kuna kitu imenibamba kwa journey ya hii mimba ni hii kifua. nimepitia shida hii town. nilikuwa nikipita mahali watu wananiambia’tukiongelea watu wa vifua wewe unafunga mdomo juu uko na pimples,” Dem Wa Facebook revealed.
“Sahii angalia, munipatie two weeks nitakuwa na lead kwa hiyo challenge ya piga up Burukanga. See you in two weeks.”
