Dancer Collins Kuria, popularly known as Colloblue, has praised Genge artiste Mejja, describing him as one of the most generous artistes when it comes to compensating dancers and creatives working on his projects.

Speaking about his experience in an interview with Tony Mwirigi on Thursday, May 14, 2026, Colloblue said he has worked with the ‘Siskii’ hitmaker on multiple occasions over the years.

He said Mejja stands out for how well he treats people involved in his music video productions.

“I feel Mejja is the artiste who pays Kenyan dancers the biggest amount. I feel like because of that he will go to heaven,” he said.

He noted that dancers and crew members are well catered for during shoots, including the provision of meals throughout the day, with food available at all set times, such as breakfast and other breaks.

According to him, Mejja often encourages those on set to relax and enjoy the experience, creating what he described as a comfortable and well-organised working environment.

“I have worked with him on a personal level for many years, and I can confirm that he pays people very well. One day, I feel like I will even do a song about him. You see what happens in his music video shoots, you will go and realise everything is catered for, and there is a big buffet of food during all set meals, including breakfast,” he added.

Colloblue further claimed that the artiste ensures production schedules are efficient, with some shoots taking a very short time despite proper planning and agreed payments for longer sessions.

“And he tells me at that time to let people vibe and enjoy. Another good thing with his sets is that they don’t take long. For example, they may have agreed to pay you Ksh30,000 for a long set, but you will only stay for about 15 minutes, and you are given cars to pick you up and drop you off,” he said.

He added that transport is also provided for dancers, with arrangements made to pick and drop them after shoots, ensuring convenience for those involved.

The dancer further revealed that after performances, creatives are also allowed to unwind and enjoy refreshments, including drinks, depending on their preference.

“And after the show, if you drink, you are allowed to enjoy, and even those who take juices may take,” he said.
