The content creator explained that many young people feel overwhelmed by constant crises happening at the same time. She said that rising fuel prices and insecurity have made life more stressful. She also spoke about how missing people and national fears have added pressure to citizens who are already struggling.
She continued by expressing how she feels forced into activism and national conversations at a young age. She said that instead of focusing on personal goals, many people are now focused on survival and public issues affecting the country.

“Now you want to bring corona, now you want to bring world war 3, the highest fuel price I have seen in my whole life. Children missing, people missing, I am fighting for my country, I have to fight the finance bill, I have to fight. I have not even seen the Maldives yet. You have turned me into a freedom fighter at the ripe age of 25. It is not even fair. Why is it that when it is my turn to be an adult,” Chebet Ronoh said.
She added that the situation feels like one crisis after another, making it hard for young adults to enjoy normal life experiences. She joked that instead of travelling or enjoying life milestones, she is constantly dealing with serious national issues.
“Ebola is making an entry,” Chebet Ronoh said.
