Global music icon Celine Dion has announced her much-anticipated return to live performances in a deeply personal message shared with fans as she celebrated her 58th birthday.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Canadian superstar, who has been battling stiff-person syndrome, expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support from fans over the years and revealed plans to perform again on stage starting in September 2026 in Paris.
“Hi everyone. You know, in my career I have recorded a lot of birthday messages, but this is the first time I have recorded one for my own birthday. Wow, it’s been kind of hard keeping it a secret for myself, but I want to let you know that I am doing great, managing my health, feeling good, singing again, and even doing a little bit of dancing. I love it so much,” she said.
Dion reflected on the challenges she has faced while managing her health but reassured fans that she is feeling strong, motivated, and excited to connect with audiences once more.
She described her upcoming performances as the “best gift” she could receive, emphasising her eagerness to sing, dance, and share her music with the public after a long hiatus.
“I have to tell you something very important: over these last years, every day that has come by, I have felt your prayers, your kindness, and your love. Even in my most difficult times, you were there for me. You have helped me, and I can’t even describe it, I am truly so fortunate to have your support. I have missed you so much, and that brings me back to my birthday actually,” she added.
The singer also thanked her followers for their consistent prayers, encouragement, and love during her most difficult times, noting that their support has been a source of strength and inspiration.
Dion acknowledged feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement as she prepares for her stage return, underscoring her determination to embrace this new chapter in her career while prioritising her health.
“So this year, I am getting the best gift of my life: I am getting the chance to see you and to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September this year. I am so happy, I am so ready to do this, and I am feeling good, strong, and excited. Of course, a little nervous, but of course I am grateful to all of you,” she added.
