You’ll have a seat: Kanyari assures Marion Naipei of a role if elected Kasarani MP

Pastor Victor Kanyari has assured social media personality Marion Naipei that she will have a role in his team if he is elected the next Member of Parliament for Kasarani in the 2027 elections.
Speaking during a live church service on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Kanyari said he has continued to stand by Marion Naipei despite facing criticism from Kenyans because of their association.
He added that although many people insulted him, he will never abandon her.
“Kenyans walinitukana sana kwa sababu yako, Marion, but I decided to die for you. Until today, hatutawachana,” Kanyari said.
The preacher then went on to promise Naipei a position should he win the Kasarani parliamentary seat in the next general election.
According to Kanyari, Naipei would be given a role focusing on women’s affairs within his team.
“Kwanza, nikichaguliwa kuwa mbunge wa Kasarani, utapata ka kiti hapo, lazima utakuwa na kakiti ya wasichana wewe ndio utakuwa unadeal na wao,” he added.
Kanyari added that even if such a position did not exist, he would create one for her.
“Kama hiyo kiti hakuna tutatafuta,”he said.
Kanyari on Naipei’s transformation
Kanyari’s assurance comes weeks after he shared an update on Naipei’s spiritual journey, saying she has embraced the Christian faith but is still growing in her walk with God
Speaking during a church service on Friday, July 17, 2026, Kanyari said Marion is saved but described her spiritual growth as still being at an early stage.
“Marion ameokoka, lakini ameokoka 10 percent,” Kanyari said.
Kanyari added that Marion was gradually growing in her faith and expressed confidence that she would one day reach full spiritual maturity and preach before the congregation.
He, however, maintained that she was still at the beginning of her spiritual journey.
“Anaendelea aki increase per cent yake, siku moja itafika hundred na atakuwa anahubiri hapa mbele, lakini sahi ni 10 per cent,” he said.
Political ambitions
Kanyari said he would align himself with the wishes of his followers, signalling a full pivot to the parliamentary race.
He framed the decision as a collective direction taken with his supporters.
The preacher later reinforced his ambition in a public message, making his intentions clear to Kasarani residents.
“Kasarani Constituency, get ready; in 2027 I’m vying for MP Kasarani,” he wrote.
“Nasimama na watu wa Kasarani kwa sababu viongozi ambao wako hawafanyi kazi.”
