Who was at Summertides? Celebrities spotted at the festival
By William Muthama, July 4, 2026Thousands of revellers descended on Lost Beach Club in Malindi for the 2026 Summertides Festival, turning Kenya’s coast into the country’s biggest beach party as celebrities, influencers and music lovers soaked in three days of entertainment.
Held from Thursday, July 2, 2026, the festival featured performances across two stages, bringing together Afrobeats, Amapiano, EDM, House, R&B and Dancehall while attracting some of Kenya’s biggest personalities.
Stars hit Malindi
Award-winning DJ Joe Mfalme was among the headline acts, entertaining crowds with an energetic set that kept fans dancing late into the night.
Sharing moments from the festival on social media, the celebrated entertainer invited fans to “Party with Mr Sherehe” as he celebrated another appearance at the annual beach festival.

Media personality Azeezah also took to the stage, joining a lineup that featured local and regional talent. Her performance added to the festival’s lively atmosphere as thousands packed the venue overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Influencers steal spotlight
Away from the performances, several influencers and content creators grabbed attention with their fashion choices and viral social media posts.

Content creator Mjaka Mfine was among the most talked-about personalities after sharing photos and videos of her beach outfits.
Thicky Sandra, the daughter of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, also made a stylish appearance. Videos of her arrival and moments at the festival quickly circulated online, adding to the excitement surrounding the event.

Forex trader and digital creator Kenyan Prince was another familiar face at Summertides after travelling from Dubai for the festival.
His posts documenting his trip and reunions with fellow creators attracted thousands of views across social media platforms.

Beyond the celebrity appearances, Summertides once again showcased why it has become one of East Africa’s most anticipated beach festivals.
