‘We ain’t friends’ – Vera Sidika warns Ciggie Johnson over old videos of them

In an Instagram post on Saturday, September 12, 2026, Vera said she and Ciggie have not been friends for about eight months and questioned why he continued sharing old videos that could make it appear they were still close.
In a video addressing the situation, Vera said she was setting new boundaries and asked Ciggie to stop posting content featuring them.
“We are not friends. Stop posting videos of us to make it look like we’re still cool. We’re not,” she said.
Vera says she declined permission
Vera later shared screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation between her and Ciggie, showing that he had privately asked for permission to post the video.
“Can I post this with your permission?” Ciggie asked in the conversation.
Vera responded that he did not need to post it, adding that she had already forgiven him.
Ciggie then suggested changing the caption, but Vera clarified that the wording was not the issue.
“Aki it’s not about the caption. I just don’t want to be posted,” she told him.
Ciggie appeared to acknowledge her request, responding that he respected her decision.
‘We can remain cool and cordial’
In another Instagram post, Vera questioned what happened to respecting her decision after she saw the video circulating on social media.
“What happened to respecting my decision? I asked you not to post me two months ago, only to see the video all over social media today,” she wrote.
Vera said she considers herself a loyal friend but finds it difficult to return to a friendship once her trust has been broken.
“We can absolutely remain cool and cordial, but I don’t think we can be friends anymore, and that’s okay,” she said.
She also asked Ciggie not to post her or share any content featuring her.
Vera explains public call-out
Vera said she had not intended to make the disagreement public but felt she had no choice after the video was posted despite her private request.
She explained that Ciggie had asked her privately if he could share the video, but she declined. According to Vera, he later posted it publicly despite telling her he respected her decision.
“I did not intend to do this, but I have no choice,” Vera said, adding that she hoped addressing the matter publicly would make him stop posting her.
