Tr Cillah shares hate DMs she is receiving over exchange with George Ruto

Kenyan social media personality and teacher Tr Cillah has shared a series of abusive messages she has been receiving from an Instagram user following her recent social media exchange with President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto.
The messages, shared by Tr Cillah on Instagram, included personal attacks about her appearance, clothes and the artificial intelligence-generated images she has been posting.
One Instagram user, operating under a pseudonymous account, sent Tr Cillah a lengthy message attacking her appearance and questioning whether she could fit into the Ruto family.
“Hi girl, hope you’re doing good. Girl, brush your teeth with expensive toothpaste, then start shouting George’s name. If you look at yourself properly, can u join the George family? a shower and stop wearing nguo za 1500,, endelea kutengeneza ai video useless girl,” message from the pseudo account reads.
“Mtu hujui kusmile unatoa meno zote out like a crocodile, ndio unatengeneza ai photos with George.”
Tr Cillah’s response
Rather than appearing shaken by the message, Tr Cillah responded with humour, asking her followers for recommendations on expensive toothpaste and clothes.
“Wacheni nicheke…Series mnataka ama hamtaki, please recommend expensive toothpaste and expensive clothes zenye si za 1500,” Tr Cillah wrote.
Cillah and George’s exchange
The exchange comes after Tr Cillah recently attracted attention online over her interactions with George Ruto, including flirty comments that sparked speculation and prompted George to publicly ask who she was.
George’s question came after Tr Cillah posted content that appeared to reference him, generating a wave of reactions from social media users.
Since then, the interaction has continued to attract attention, with some users joining the conversation while others have criticised Tr Cillah over her posts.
The latest messages have also highlighted the darker side of viral social media conversations, where public figures and influencers can face personal attacks when their content attracts widespread attention.
