This moment was personal: Karen Nyamu opens up on meeting Sinach at Rhema Feast
By Katemarthason Okudo, September 6, 2026Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has opened up about a personal moment she experienced while attending Rhema Feast 2026, where she met Nigerian gospel singer Sinach.
Nyamu shared a photo with the celebrated worship leader on Instagram on Saturday, September 5, 2026, reflecting on the influence Sinach’s music has had on different seasons of her life.
For Nyamu, the meeting was more than a simple encounter with a musician she admires. She explained that Sinach’s songs have accompanied her through different moments, including times of prayer, tears, celebration, and hope.
“Sinach, she doesn’t know it, but her music has been the soundtrack to the seasons of my life. There has always been a Sinach song for the moment, in the shower, in tears, dancing, believing. This moment was personal,” she wrote.
Karen Nyamu joins worshippers
Nyamu was among several well-known Kenyan personalities who attended Rhema Feast, which brought together thousands of Christians at Uhuru Park in Nairobi. The five-day gathering ran from Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, 2026, featuring prayer, worship, preaching and teaching.

The event, convened by Reverend Julian Kyula of Ruach Assemblies, brought together ministers and worship leaders from Kenya and other parts of Africa.
Sinach was among the gospel ministers who took part in the worship programme, allowing Nyamu to meet the singer whose music she says has been part of her personal journey.
Politicians at Rhema Feast
Nyamu was not the only politician who attended the gathering. President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto joined worshippers during the grand finale on Friday, September 4.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino also attended the closing programme, while Mumias East MP Peter Salasya was present at the gathering on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Salasya had earlier spoken about his experience at the event, urging politicians to make time for spiritual reflection despite the demands of public life. “In politics, if you do not repent every time, you can go to hell for free,” he said while reflecting on his decision to attend the gathering.

What is Rhema Feast?
Rhema Feast is a non-denominational Christian gathering organised by Ruach Assemblies, a ministry under The Purpose Centre Church.
The 2026 edition was held at Uhuru Park under the theme “Come, Let Us Rebuild”, drawing worshippers from different backgrounds for five days of prayer, biblical teaching and worship.
The programme featured international ministers including Apostle Joshua Selman, Apostle Michael Orokpo, Apostle Grace Lubega and Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, alongside Kenyan church leaders.
For Nyamu, however, the gathering also provided a chance to meet an artiste whose music has remained part of her personal faith journey.
Her meeting with Sinach offered a quieter moment within a gathering that brought together worshippers, politicians, church leaders and public figures from different walks of life.
