Tenda mema nenda zako: Mosiria shares cryptic message amid growing clout accusations
By Ascah Mwango, June 2, 2026Nairobi County’s Chief Officer for Customer Engagement and Citizen Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has shared a cryptic message on social media amid growing accusations from a section of Kenyans who claim he courts publicity through his highly publicised charity operations.
In a statement shared via his X account on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Mosiria appeared unbothered by the criticism, instead choosing to focus on the value of doing good and remaining patient for success.
“Kusema kweli hii kazi sio rahisi, ila tu tenda mema nenda zako. Mungu akiamua kukubless nobody can stop the blessings. Msanii God bless you for this encouragement through this song, I don’t take it for granted. IPO SIKU ITAJIPA,” Mosiria stated.

For months, Mosiria has remained one of the most visible county officials in Nairobi. Whether responding to complaints about illegal dumping, confronting traders accused of polluting public spaces, rescuing vulnerable residents, or leading clean-up exercises in estates, his presence has become difficult to miss.
The county official has built a reputation for documenting his work online, often sharing videos and photos while inspecting drainage systems, illegal dumping sites, blocked sewer lines and businesses accused of violating environmental regulations. Before his transfer to the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service docket in late 2025, he served as Nairobi’s Chief Officer for Environment, where he spearheaded several clean-up and enforcement operations across the city.

His hands-on style has earned him both praise and criticism. Many argue that he has helped shine a spotlight on issues many public officials ignore, while critics maintain that some of the operations appear designed for social media audiences. Either way, Mosiria’s phone camera often arrives almost as quickly as he does, a reality that has become a running joke among Nairobi residents.
Despite the criticism, Mosiria has continued to champion campaigns targeting illegal waste disposal, blocked waterways and developments built on drainage corridors. He has also been vocal about efforts to improve sanitation standards and reduce flooding risks within the capital.
