Tanasha Donna: Funded women are often the loudest about built ladies

Kenyan musician, entrepreneur and former radio host Tanasha Donna has spoken out on her Instagram stories, making a blunt remark about women and success.
In a statement shared via her Instagram stories on Monday, June 8, 2026, Tanasha contrasted what she described as two types of women in society: those who are financially supported and those who build themselves from the ground up.
“Some women are funded. Others are built. The funded ones are usually the loudest about the built ones,” Tanasha Donna stated.

Tanasha Donna Oketch is a Kenyan singer, model, entrepreneur, and former NRG Radio presenter. She began her career in media before transitioning into music, where she has released songs and collaborations that positioned her within East Africa’s entertainment industry. She has also worked as a model and brand influencer, building a strong personal brand over the years.

Before her music career, Tanasha worked at NRG Radio in Nairobi, where she co-hosted shows that helped her gain recognition in Kenya’s media space. She later left broadcasting to focus fully on music and entrepreneurship, a move that shifted her public image from radio personality to recording artist.
Tanasha is also known for her past relationship with Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz, with whom she shares a son, Naseeb Junior. The relationship began in 2018 and ended in 2020, but it kept her in the regional spotlight due to the couple’s high-profile status in East African entertainment.
