Stoopid Boy’s mum speaks after his coffin arrives at Chiromo Mortuary, reveals his burial is today
By Steve Ireri, September 16, 2026The mother of Gotta City rapper Stoopid Boy has spoken emotionally after her son’s coffin was finally delivered to Chiromo Mortuary, nearly a month after his death, revealing that the artiste will be laid to rest today, Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Speaking to a local YouTuber on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the grieving mother said the family had been unable to make burial arrangements for the rapper because of a court case that had prevented them from collecting his body from the mortuary.
She explained that the legal dispute had left the family in limbo, making it difficult to begin the process of raising funds and preparing for his final send-off.
“Today we had come to clear the mortuary bill. And it was not easy,” she said.
The mother said the family had been unable to pick up Stoopid Boy’s body or mobilise funds for his burial while the court matter remained unresolved.
“As you all are aware, there was a court case, and that case is what had barred us from making burial arrangements for our son. And we were not able to pick up his body or even raise money,” she said.
The situation changed after the family returned to court at the Milimani Law Courts, where they learnt that the case filed by the rapper’s father’s side had been withdrawn.
“But yesterday we went to court in Milimani, and we found out that the father’s side withdrew the case,” she said.

The withdrawal paved the way for the family to resume burial arrangements after weeks of uncertainty, with the mother saying they immediately decided to accelerate the process because Stoopid Boy’s body had remained at the mortuary for almost a month.
“And that is when we decided, because Stoopid Boy has stayed here in the mortuary for almost a month, we thought we should rush the burial,” she said.
The family, however, found itself under pressure to organise the funeral within a short period, with the mother admitting that they were uncertain about how to proceed because the funds available for the burial were insufficient.
“And we were rushing because as a family we were not sure what to do, because even the funds for burial were not enough,” she said.
Help eventually came from a well-wisher identified as Stazo, whom the mother credited with stepping in at a critical moment to ease the financial burden facing the family.
“But a well-wisher called Stazo came through and paid for many things. He is an aspirant,” she said.
According to the mother, Stazo settled the outstanding mortuary bill and also paid for the vehicle that would transport the rapper’s body for burial.
“He paid the mortuary bill and even paid for the burial vehicle,” she said.
The family also received assistance from media personality Oga Obinna, who helped them secure a coffin for the late artiste.
The mother expressed her gratitude to Obinna for supporting the family during the difficult period and helping ensure that the necessary funeral arrangements could be completed.
“And I also want to thank Oga Obinna for aiding with getting the coffin,” she said.
With the major hurdles finally cleared, the family was preparing to take Stoopid Boy for his final journey after weeks of uncertainty surrounding his burial.
“So now all is good. And now tomorrow we will go for the burial and lay him to rest,” she said.
