Stoopid Boy never earned anything from his hit song ‘G Baga Jat’, manager claims
By William Muthama, September 11, 2026Stoopid Boy’s manager, Donga, has claimed the late musician did not earn any money from his hit song G Baga Jat, despite the track attracting millions of views online.
Speaking during an interview with Street Vibes Media Hub on Friday, September 11, 2026, Donga said he had tried to ensure Stoopid Boy received a share of the money generated by the song but claimed the effort did not yield results.
“G Baga Jat haikulipa chochote,” Donga said, claiming the song did not earn Stoopid Boy anything.
G Baga Jat racks up millions
According to Donga, the original version of G Baga Jat had attracted about two million views on YouTube, while the remix had accumulated nearly eight million views.
The two versions had therefore recorded close to 10 million YouTube views combined, based on figures cited by Donga during the interview.
Donga also said the song was available on other digital platforms, including Apple Music.
“Iko kwa platform zote. Apple Music, wapi kila mahali. Na pia huko hakuna hata shilingi moja,” he said.
However, Donga acknowledged that he did not have access to the song’s distribution accounts and could therefore not establish how much revenue it had generated.
Manager sought percentage
Donga said he approached those involved in the song’s distribution seeking a percentage for Stoopid Boy, arguing that the musician had a family to support.
“Iliisha nikawaambia huyu jamaa ako na familia, mpee percentage,” he said.
According to Donga, he was told that Stoopid Boy could receive a percentage, although he said he had no control over the song’s distribution accounts.
He consequently said he could not confirm how much G Baga Jat had generated across YouTube and other streaming platforms.
Donga maintained that his concern was for Stoopid Boy to benefit financially from his music, particularly given the attention G Baga Jat had attracted online.
