South African preacher Felix Okoh recalls time Kenyan bloggers claimed he was dating Kathy Kiuna
By Steve Ireri, September 3, 2026South Africa-based Nigerian televangelist Felix Okoh has recalled the bizarre moment Kenyan bloggers claimed he was romantically involved with Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna, the widow of late Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) preacher Bishop Allan Kiuna.
Speaking at the ongoing Rhema Feast on Thursday, September 3, 2026, Felix said the claims emerged after he travelled to Kenya to attend the funeral of Bishop Allan, explaining that he had come to mourn his friend and stand with Kathy during one of the most difficult moments of her life.
The televangelist recalled discovering the rumours shortly after returning to South Africa, saying he received a YouTube message claiming that he had become Kathy’s latest boyfriend.
“I came here around two years ago to bury my brother, Bishop Allan Kiuna. I came to support and stand with my dear sister, Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna,” Felix said.
He said that shortly after landing back in South Africa, someone sent him a YouTube message informing him that he was supposedly Kathy’s latest boyfriend.
“The moment I landed back in South Africa, someone sent me a YouTube message that I was now the latest boyfriend of Lady Bishop Kathy,” he recalled.

The claim left him stunned, with Felix questioning why Kenyan bloggers had chosen to link him romantically to Kathy when he had travelled to Kenya specifically to mourn her late husband and had even made the trip with his own wife.
“And I said, ‘Eeh.’ I said, ‘What is wrong with Kenyans?’ Kenyan bloggers, you guys are brutal,” he said.
Felix said he was even more shocked after discovering that some of the people behind such reports identified themselves as Christians.
“Somebody shouts fire, and you find out that some of the people writing these things are Christians,” he said.
The preacher recalled coming across YouTube reports claiming that he had become Kathy’s new husband, with some of the stories suggesting that she had already found another man on the day of her husband’s funeral.
“I just saw on YouTube that I am the latest husband. And they were saying that on the day of the husband’s funeral, she had found another man,” Felix said.
He was particularly amused by the claims because, according to him, he had travelled to Kenya accompanied by his wife.
“Yet I came with my wife,” he added.
The claims were therefore not only surprising to Felix but also appeared to him as a striking example of how quickly rumours can spread online, particularly when public figures are involved.
The House of Treasures Ministries founder said the reports had angered him to the extent that he contemplated praying for judgement against the bloggers behind them.
“I wanted to pray judgement for bloggers, but I am standing on this altar. Let me be merciful,” he said.
Kiuna’s demise
Bishop Allan Kiuna died on July 9, 2024, at the age of 57 after a long battle with multiple myeloma, a type of bone marrow cancer.
His death marked the end of a long and influential ministry journey at JCC, where he had served alongside Kathy, with the two becoming one of Kenya’s most recognisable pastoral couples.
A public memorial service for the late preacher was held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Faith Evangelistic Ministry Family Church in Karen before his burial two days later.
