By , July 17, 2026

Rapper Stevo Simple Boy has said he holds no grudge against content creator Andrew Kibe, who sparked controversy with remarks that people like Stevo should not have children.

In an interview on Friday, July 17, 2026, the musician dismissed claims of bad blood between them, saying he has already moved on and is focused on his career.

When asked whether he still had beef with Kibe following the public exchange, Stevo gave a brief but clear response.

“Mimi sina beef,” he said.

Pressed on whether he expected Kibe to apologise, the rapper said he was not waiting for one.

“Na hata kama ataomba msamaha, mimi sina shida, nitaendelea. Juu niko na Wakenya,” he said, adding that the support he receives from Kenyans is enough to keep him motivated.

Unaffected by trolls

Stevo also opened up about how he handles criticism and online trolling, saying he has grown used to insults since the early days of his music career.

He recalled that when his hit song Mihadarati became popular, he received a lot of negative comments, but he chose not to let them discourage him.

“Hakuna kitu nasikianga,” he said, explaining that he prefers to concentrate on his goals instead of responding to critics.

According to the rapper, public figures should expect mixed reactions, with some people appreciating their work while others criticise it or offer suggestions.

Focused on music

Stevo said his main priority is to continue working hard and release new music rather than engage in online feuds.

He noted that every song receives different reactions from fans, but he remains committed to improving his craft and spending time in the studio.

His latest remarks come weeks after he publicly defended his child following Andrew Kibe’s controversial comments suggesting that people like him should not have children.

At the time, Stevo urged Kibe to criticise him instead of dragging an innocent child into the discussion, saying every child deserves love and respect regardless of their appearance or background.
