Senator Boni Khalwale proud as daughter Flavia graduates with second class honours
By William Muthama, September 18, 2026Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has celebrated his daughter, Flavia Shimuli Khalwale, after she graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Economics and Statistics.
Flavia graduated with a Second Class Upper Division, marking a significant milestone in her academic journey.
The senator took to X on Friday, September 18, 2026, to congratulate Flavia, expressing pride in her accomplishment and celebrating the milestone with his family.
Khalwale described the graduation as a proud moment for the family as Flavia joined the growing list of University of Nairobi alumni in the Khalwale family.
“Congratulating and celebrating my daughter, Flavia Shimuli Khalwale, for graduating today from the University of Nairobi School of Economics with a 2nd Class Upper Division Bachelor of Economics and Statistics,” Khalwale said.
He also expressed his pride in the university, noting that it now boasts several members of his family among its alumni.
“We are very proud of the@uonbi that now boasts of the following alumni in my family,”he noted.
Flavia joins family of professionals
According to Khalwale, Flavia becomes the fifth member of the family to graduate from the University of Nairobi.
The senator listed himself as a Doctor of Medicine and Senator, while his other children have pursued careers in different professional fields.
Tigana Kachuma Khalwale works as an auditor at the Office of the Auditor General, while Inger Imbuhila Khalwale is an actuarial scientist at the Kenya Revenue Authority.
Linda Lichuma Khalwale is a civil engineer at the Kenya National Highways Authority, while Flavia now joins the family as an economist.
Khalwale concluded his message by thanking God for the achievement, saying his family was profoundly grateful for the milestone.
