Sandra Dacha shares uncomfortable truth about what mourners think about during funerals

Kenyan actress and comedian Sandra Dacha has urged people to stop living as though the world will come to a standstill after their death, arguing that even funerals have programmes and time limits.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Dacha noted that even as mourners gather to pay their final respects, some will eventually start thinking about the responsibilities awaiting them outside the burial ceremony.
“Your funeral will have a programme and a time limit. That is how replaceable grief is,” Dacha wrote.
“By 2 PM, somebody at your burial is already thinking about traffic, food, work, and what they have to do tomorrow,” she wrote.
Dacha further pointed out that life continues moving forward even as a person is being laid to rest, saying mourners will eventually return to their normal routines.
“Life will move on before they even lower you into the ground,” she added.
The actress urged people to stop living with the expectation that their absence will permanently halt the lives of those around them.
“So stop living like people will pause the world for your absence,” Dacha wrote.
She instead encouraged people to use their time wisely by building meaningful lives and showing love to those around them while they are still alive.
“Build while you are here. Love while you are breathing,” she said.
Dacha also urged people to create things that will continue to have an impact long after they are gone, encouraging them to focus on building a legacy that extends beyond their physical lives.
“Create something that outlives your body because one day, even your final goodbye will be on a schedule,” she concluded.
Baby mamas
Taking to her official Instagram account on Friday, March 13, 2026, the actress emphasised that women should watch out for red flags and prioritise their emotional well-being.
“Stay away from men with multiple baby mamas. Aliye na masikio na asikie,” Dacha wrote.
She further explained that while having one baby mama might not be a major concern, a man with two is reckless, and one with three should be completely avoided.
“One baby mama, that means the relationship did not work out, not too bad. Two baby mamas, he is reckless; please stay away from him. Three baby mamas, he needs to be quarantined; please stay away from him,” she explained.
