Prince Smile vows never to attend Oga Obinna’s show

Speaking in a video on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, Prince Smile said he was surprised that the person involved did not call him directly to explain or apologise, choosing instead to address the matter publicly on social media.
“Ange nipigia tu simu, akiniambia hivi,” Prince Smile said, expressing his view that a private conversation would have been more appropriate.
He questioned why an apology would be shared online while the same person was also collaborating with Oga Obinna on Instagram. Prince Smile said the situation left him confused, particularly after the two had met at a show and appeared comfortable around each other.
Questions over online apology
“What’s that? Watu wawili walionana tu jana, tukiwa kwenye show pale, wanasmileiana,” he said, questioning the meaning behind the interaction.
Prince Smile explained that he later went through videos from the show on YouTube, saying he watched the footage carefully to understand what had happened.
“Mimi hiyo sasa baadaye nilienda pale video za YouTube, nikenda nikawatch polepole kila kitu kinakwenda,” he said.
He also raised concerns about comments and issues he had previously noticed involving Obinna, saying they contributed to his discomfort with the situation. According to Prince Smile, he had already been clear about not wanting to attend Obinna’s show or be seen publicly with him.
“Nilikuwa nikiwaoniwa, msiende pale kwenye show,” he said, adding that Obinna had also told him to come.
Prince Smile said he had made his position known even when they were already at the venue, insisting that he did not want to appear in videos or take pictures with Obinna.
“Simu, uliona akiwa meliko video, hata sitaki kuonekana na hapo, sitaki kupiga picha na yeye, ama nini,” he said.
Prince Smile draws boundaries
His remarks have now drawn attention online, with the conversation centring on whether public apologies and social media collaborations can create more confusion when private disagreements remain unresolved.
For Prince Smile, the issue appears to go beyond simply attending a show. His comments suggest that he expected direct communication before the matter was taken online.
He has therefore maintained that he does not want to attend Oga Obinna’s show, while questioning the decision to publicly apologise and collaborate with the comedian at the same time.
