Pastor Kanyari devastated after worker is captured stealing in his church
By Steve Ireri, July 23, 2026Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has demanded answers from a worker after discovering that iron bars meant to assemble equipment for his charity projects had been stolen and sold as scrap metal.
In a video shared on TikTok on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Kanyari confronted the worker over the theft, questioning why he would turn against him despite receiving financial support and being entrusted with work at his premises.
The preacher explained that the iron bars were not ordinary scrap materials but were intended for the construction of equipment that he uses to support poor people, including hawking trolleys and carts.
“I cannot believe you stole from me. Why would you even do that in the first place? You see these iron bars are meant to assemble the equipment I help and gift the poor, for example, hawking trolleys and carts,” Kanyari said.
According to the preacher, the worker took the materials and sold them to scrap metal dealers instead of using them for the projects they were intended for.
Kanyari expressed his disbelief at the situation, saying he had trusted the worker and regularly given him money as a token of appreciation for his work.
“But you stole those iron bars and went to sell them as scrap metal. Surely. And yet I always give you a token for your work, and I even believe in you,” he said.
The preacher further accused the worker of going beyond stealing the iron bars by dismantling some of his vehicles and selling spare parts.
“You dismantle my car to go and sell spare parts. I cannot comprehend it,” Kanyari said.
The incident left the preacher questioning how long the worker had been involved in the theft and whether the latest discovery was the first time he had taken items belonging to him.
“And how long have you been doing this? And please, why would you do this to me honestly?” Kanyari asked.
Kanyari said he had treated the worker well, offering him financial assistance from time to time and trusting him with responsibilities.
“I give you money from time to time. I have been good to you, but you have decided to turn against me,” he said.
The preacher also explained how he came to learn about the theft, saying members of the public witnessed the worker taking the materials and recorded videos of what was happening.
According to Kanyari, the people who captured the footage later sent it to him because they knew him and wanted to alert him about what was happening.
“And you see, when people saw you stealing near the road, they recorded, and because they love me, they showed me,” he said.
Kanyari claimed that the metal parts taken by the worker were worth more than Ksh50,000, but the items were later sold for only Ksh500 as scrap metal.
“And those metal parts were worth over Ksh50,000, but you went to sell at Ksh500,” he said.
The preacher also said videos sent to him showed the worker going underneath one of his buses and cutting copper wires.
“They sent me videos of you even going underneath one of the buses to cut the copper wires,” Kanyari said.
The discovery appeared to leave Kanyari particularly disappointed because he said the worker was expected to protect and support him rather than steal from him.
“You are supposed to give me security and support me because I am your guy, but you steal from me instead,” he said.
During the confrontation, the worker asked Kanyari for forgiveness and maintained that it was his first attempt at stealing from him.
