Nyaboke Moraa has shared a message on dealing with negative comments, reminding people that others will always have something to say about their lives.
The actress said people can speak about someone in either a positive or negative way. She explained that each person has the choice to decide which opinions to accept and which ones to ignore.
“People will always talk…whether positively or negatively. It’s up to you to decide what to swallow and what to spit. Stay guided,” Nyaboke Moraa said on Friday, August 14, 2026.
Moraa explained that people should not allow every comment made about them to affect their lives. She said opinions will always come from different sides, making it important for individuals to choose what deserves their attention. Her message focused on being careful about what one accepts from other people.
The actress said people should learn to separate useful words from those that may only bring negativity. She explained that not every opinion needs to be carried or taken personally. Moraa encouraged people to stay guided as they decide what to accept and what to leave behind.
“People will always talk…whether positively or negatively,” Nyaboke Moraa said.
Moraa on her loss
The message comes days after Moraa opened up about the pain of losing her daughter, Marie Blac Achieng. The actress reflected on the second anniversary of her daughter’s death on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. She explained that the passing of two years had not changed the pain she continues to feel.
“Two years down, forever to go…feels like two days; the pain is the same. They lied by saying it gets better with time. I am always crushed to the core…keep resting, my child; it can never be well,” Moraa said.
Moraa has continued to speak about the loss since Marie died in July 2024. She has used social media to remember her daughter and share how the loss has affected her life. The actress has also previously spoken about the pain she carries following the death of her firstborn.
Earlier this year, Moraa marked what would have been Marie’s 21st birthday with another emotional tribute. She said she cries every day and explained that her life “took a 360” after her daughter died. Her latest message on negative comments comes as she continues to share personal thoughts about life and grief.
