Nyaboke Moraa reveals she once wished to die as she turns 42

Actress Nyaboke Moraa has revealed that she once wished to die as she marked her 42nd birthday, reflecting on difficult moments she has gone through in her life.
Moraa shared the revelation while celebrating her new age, saying she never expected to reach 42 because of the difficult period she experienced at some point. She also spoke about having people close to her who support her during difficult moments.
“42 years today…..I never thought I would get here because at some point I wished to breathe my last. I have close people who hold me down when I have my moments, and I have closer ones who wish me depression, even death. Good thing God does not come from anyone’s village,” Moraa said on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
She said the support she receives from some people has helped her through her difficult moments. At the same time, she noted that there are others close to her whom she believes wish her harm.

Moraa said she was now entering her 42nd year with a positive mindset as she looked forward to what the new age would bring. She described the new chapter using several words that reflect her outlook.
“I am stepping into this new year with a lot of positive mindset and anxiety for what is in store for me…Fiesty, fierce, fun, full, funny, focused, fast and furious,” Moraa said.
Faith and strength
The birthday celebration also saw Moraa reflect on her faith and the strength she has received over the years. She said she could not fully explain the strength that has helped her keep going through difficult moments.
“God keeps giving me strength that I can’t even explain myself. I am his child, and he is truly faithful,” Moraa said.

She also celebrated herself as she marked the milestone, describing herself as “gaidi mkuu” and the child of Rebecca and George. Moraa expressed love for herself and prayed for continued grace, love, joy and strength.
“Happy birthday gaidi mkuu, mtoto wa Rebecca na George.I love you so much, and may God keep shining your path for you. I wish you nothing but God’s unending grace, love, joy, strength, and most of all peace,” Moraa said.
Moraa ended her birthday message by showing her readiness to embrace the new chapter. She said she was prepared for the experiences that would come with turning 42 and the year ahead.
