Nurse Judy praises husband for standing by her after having baby at 18
By Paulette Mboga, September 27, 2026Nurse Judy has praised her husband for supporting her after she became a mother at 18, saying he made the experience of raising their baby easier and more enjoyable.
Judy explained that her husband played an active role in caring for their child, especially during the first month after she underwent a C-section. She said he took over several responsibilities, allowing her to focus on healing and adjusting to motherhood.
“HE is the reason I would choose having a baby at 18 over and over again! He made the whole experience so smooth, so easy, and so enjoyable. I had an AMAZING support system in him!” Nurse Judy said on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
She revealed that her husband took charge of bathing their baby during the first month after delivery. Judy said he encouraged her to rest and recover from the surgery while he handled the baby’s needs.
“I never bathed our baby for the entire 1st month! He told me, ‘Babe, relax. Heal from your C-section. I GOT THIS!’” Judy said.
Husband stayed up to care for their baby
Judy said her husband would stay awake through the night rocking their baby and still wake up early the following morning to go to work. She explained that he remained alert whenever their child woke up during the night.
“This man would rock our baby ALL NIGHT and still wake up early the next morning to go to work!” Judy said.
She also recalled that their baby was difficult to settle, explaining that the child would often need to be rocked for long periods before falling asleep. Judy said her husband would take on the task and stay with the baby until she finally slept.
Judy said she was still learning how to be a mother at 18, but her husband ensured she had support throughout the experience.
“I was only 18, still figuring out motherhood, but he made sure I NEVER had to figure it out alone,” Judy said.
She urged women to pray for partners who take an active role in raising their children, saying fatherhood involves more than providing financially.
She added that being present means helping when a mother is exhausted, holding the baby so she can sleep and taking part in everyday parenting responsibilities.
