The Roaming Chef has shared a humorous encounter with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, jokingly comparing the athlete’s Olympic achievements with his own unusual collection of “trophies”.
In a post shared on Sunday, September 27, 2026, the chef featured Kipchoge interacting with live snails kept inside a cabinet, turning the unexpected meeting into a light-hearted food moment.
Kipchoge meets the ‘trophy cabinet’
The video opened with the caption, “POV: When Eliud Kipchoge thought his Olympic Gold studded trophy cabinet could compete against my trophy cabinet ,” setting the tone for the playful exchange.
The chef then showed Kipchoge the snails, with the marathoner appearing amused as he picked one up and held it near his head while laughing along.
The unusual display was presented as the chef’s own version of a trophy cabinet, contrasting Kipchoge’s collection of sporting achievements with his collection of ingredients.
The chef later asked his followers whether they had ever eaten snails or would be willing to try them if he prepared them.

The video also played on one of Kipchoge’s best-known motivational phrases, “No human is limited,” with the chef turning it into a food-related punchline.
