Blogger Njambi Fever has explained that she does not expect constant contact in her female friendships, saying she allows her friends to have their own lives and does not feel the need to always be in touch.

The media personality said her friendships with women are natural and that she does not feel she owns anyone. She explained that people are different and can have different views about life, which has shaped how she relates to her friends.

“My female friendships are just natural. I don’t own anybody. We are all different. We view life differently,” Njambi Fever said on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

She said she tries her best to be a good friend while also appreciating the people she considers her friends. According to Njambi, being an adult also comes with many demands, making it difficult for people to always have time for each other.

“I try my best to be a good friend & they are all good friends to me. Adulting is also tough; like rn I’m very occupied with a lot!” Njambi Fever said.

Giving friends room to live

Njambi said her busy schedule means she does not expect to meet or speak with her friends all the time. She explained that she is comfortable with friendships where people reconnect when they get the chance, without pressure to maintain constant contact.

“So, we will see each other when we see each other. & I’m not the “possessive” type,” Njambi Fever said.

She said she believes her friends should be free to maintain other friendships and focus on their own lives. For her, friendship does not mean constantly checking on each other or expecting someone to always be available.

“Have your friends / have your life … we will see each other,” Njambi Fever said.

Njambi’s comments came while responding to a question about how she deals with female friendships and whether she has expectations in her friendships. She said she approaches her relationships naturally rather than trying to control how often her friends are available.

Her explanation also showed that she is comfortable giving her friends space while maintaining the friendship. Njambi said she does not expect people to put their lives on hold for the sake of staying in regular contact.

She maintained that friendships can continue even when people are busy and do not see each other often. For Njambi, allowing each person to have their own life is part of how she handles her female friendships.
