Nicholas Kioko shares why son’s injury was the hardest moment of his life
By Katemarthason Okudo, July 5, 2026YouTuber Nicholas Kioko has shared the emotional moment his son was injured at home, saying it was one of the most painful experiences he has faced as a parent.
In a message shared on his Instagram page on Sunday, July 5, 2026, Kioko said seeing his son’s injured thumb left him deeply shaken.
He said he has gone through many difficult moments in life, but nothing had prepared him for watching his child in pain.
A painful moment for the father
Kioko said the incident made him question why his son had to go through such an experience.

He explained that, as a parent, he wished he could have taken the pain away from his child and carried it himself. “I have been through a lot in life, but nothing prepared me for seeing my son’s thumb after he got injured at home,” he said.
“That was one of the hardest moments I have ever experienced. I found myself asking God, why my son?” he wrote.
The content creator said watching a child suffer brings a kind of pain that is difficult for a parent to explain. “I wished it had been me instead because I know I could have handled the pain. Watching your child suffer is a different kind of heartbreak,” he added.

Gratitude to the doctors
Kioko also thanked the medical team that attended to his son after the injury. He said the doctors showed care, kindness and professionalism during a time when his family needed support.
The father said their approach made a difference as they dealt with the difficult situation. “I am incredibly grateful to the doctors who treated him with so much care, compassion and professionalism. Their kindness meant everything to us,” he said.
Son recovering well
Kioko later shared encouraging news, saying his son is now recovering well.

He praised the young boy for his strength and said he was proud of how he had handled the experience.“Today, my little champion is recovering well. He is stronger than he knows, and I am so proud of him. My strong boy,” he wrote.
The post attracted messages of support from followers, with many wishing the child a quick recovery. Kioko’s message also reflected the fear many parents feel when their children are hurt, especially when the injury happens unexpectedly at home.
While he did not share more details about how the injury happened, his update showed that the family is grateful that the boy is now on the path to recovery.
