Ndeke ya Muthanga responds after road accident triggered reports that he had died

Speaking in a TikTok video on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Ndeke said the accident occurred a day earlier and left his vehicle with a dent, while his son and one of his dancers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital in Kitengela for treatment.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank you. And as you all know, yesterday I got into an accident, but it is my car that suffered a dent. Not me. Only my son and one of my dancers were injured. And I took them to hospital in Kitengela, and they were treated,” Ndeke said.
The singer said he was particularly grateful to the people who immediately reached out to him after news of the accident emerged, explaining that many had repeatedly called because they wanted to establish whether he was alive.
He said the number of calls he received after the accident showed the extent to which the incident had caused concern among people who had heard reports about what had happened.
“I am very shocked, and the first thing I want to appreciate is all those who could not rest but kept calling me after the accident news. They all wanted to confirm if I died,” he said.
Ndeke subsequently reassured his followers that he was alive and had escaped the accident without suffering any injuries, expressing gratitude to God for protecting him during the crash.
“But you should know that a good person like me can never die early. I thank God because I did not get hurt anywhere,” he said.
The dancer also revealed that he was behind the wheel when the accident happened, adding another detail to his account of the crash.
“And I was the one who was driving the car when the accident happened,” he said.
Ndeke’s update also appeared to address people who, according to him, had reacted positively to reports that he had been involved in a serious accident.
He claimed that some people had been happy and celebrating after hearing the reports, believing that he had suffered harm in the incident.
“And I have done this update because some people were happy and rejoicing, saying I was getting a dose of my medicine. I want them to know that I am well,” he said.
The singer did not identify the people he was referring to, but his remarks suggested that the accident had reignited existing tensions surrounding him and some of his critics.
Despite the incident, Ndeke said the accident had unexpectedly placed him at the centre of attention, noting that he had been trending extensively since the crash.
“And since that accident I have been trending a lot,” he said.
