Murugi Munyi shares bold message to content creators battling self-doubt
By Paulette Mboga, June 16, 2026Murugi Munyi has shared a bold message for content creators, encouraging them to stop overthinking and finally post videos that have been sitting in their drafts.
The content creator addressed both established and aspiring creators. She explained that many people already have content ready to share, but keep delaying because of fear and self-doubt.
“If you are a content creator or an aspiring content creator, today I would want to encourage you to do one thing that is going to bring you closer to your goal. Go in your drafts,” Murugi Munyi said in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Murugi explained that many creators spend too much time questioning content they have already recorded. She said they often keep reviewing videos while worrying about how they will be received.
“I know there are over thirty videos in there that you keep looking at and ask yourself, is this good enough, how will people perceive me, is it going to get any views, what are people going to think, what if I get cancelled even if the video is literally about nothing,” Murugi said.
Moving past self-doubt
She explained that fear can prevent creators from making progress. According to Murugi, constantly worrying about reactions can stop people from taking the next step toward their goals.
Murugi urged creators not to spend time recording fresh content for the day. Instead, she encouraged them to focus on the work they have already completed and share it.

“So I would like for you to go into your drafts, don’t even shoot a new video, don’t shoot a new video today, go into your drafts and select any one of the videos, and post it today,” Murugi said.
She stressed that the task does not need to be complicated. Her message was centred on taking action instead of waiting for the perfect moment or perfect content.
Murugi explained that publishing existing work could help creators move closer to their objectives. She encouraged them to trust themselves and stop letting fear hold them back.
“If it brings you anxiety, post it and get off the app immediately,” Murugi said.
Her remarks focused on encouraging creators to take a simple but important step. Rather than spending more time questioning their content, she urged them to share what they have already created and continue moving forward.
