Kabi Wa Jesus’s wife, Milly has apologised after facing criticism over her remarks about the trending series The Polygamist, admitting that she had not watched the show before sharing her opinion about it.

The content creator had sparked debate online on Wednesday, June 18, 2026, after publicly questioning why married people were spending time watching the hit series, saying she could not understand why couples were focusing on a show centred around polygamy and relationship struggles.

In her earlier remarks, Milly said she did not intend to watch the series and instead encouraged people to consume content that portrays marriage positively, saying she would rather watch a production that celebrates monogamy and commitment.

“I am wondering, over 30-year-olds, where are you getting time to watch a series? Where, honestly? For me, the last time I watched a series fully was after college. Now I hear everyone talking about The Polygamist everywhere, asking if you have watched it,” she said back then.

Her comments attracted reactions from viewers of The Polygamist, with some accusing her of judging the series without understanding its storyline. Some social media users also compared her to Joyce, one of the main characters in the show, because of her views on marriage and relationships.

Following the backlash, Milly returned to address the issue, apologising to those who felt offended by her earlier comments.

Speaking in a new video on Thursday, June 18, 2026, she questioned why some people were identifying her with characters from the series, saying she did not understand the comparisons because she was unfamiliar with the storyline.

“Let me start by saying sorry. Sorry for my previous story, or rather the video I did giving my views on the series The Polygamist. I am so sorry to everyone that I triggered; that was not my intention. But I have a question. Who is Joyce, and who is Jonais? I mean, I saw many people calling me Joyce, who I understand is a character from that series. Now, when you come and label me that, yet I do not know her, I get confused,” she said.

Milly asked viewers to explain the roles of the characters she was being compared to, saying she wanted to understand why her opinions had led people to associate her with them.

“Can you make me understand who is Joyce and who is Jonasi?” she asked.

Despite apologising for triggering some viewers, Milly maintained that she had no plans to watch the series, saying people were free to enjoy whatever content they preferred.

“I am sorry. You guys can watch what you want. But I am not going to watch that movie, but you guys can proceed and watch whatever you want,” she added.

The apology comes shortly after Milly became part of the online conversation surrounding The Polygamist, a South African drama series that has gained attention for its storyline revolving around marriage, infidelity, secret relationships and the consequences of living a double life.

The series follows Jonasi Gomora, a wealthy businessman whose hidden relationships and complicated family life begin to unravel, with his actions affecting the women connected to him, including Joyce.
