MC Fullstop’s son reveals how he discovered ex-lover was being assaulted by baby daddy
By Steve Ireri, May 31, 2026Late reggae icon John Maina, popularly known as MC Fullstop’s son Andy Ngeru, has recalled discovering that his ex-girlfriend was being assaulted by her baby daddy, in a moment he says left him shocked and deeply reflective on violence against women.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Andy said the discovery happened when they were spending time together, going through old photos on their phones.
He explained that the moment started casually before taking a disturbing turn as they scrolled through memories from years back.
He said that as his then-girlfriend went through her phone gallery, dating back several years, he came across images showing her in a hospital bed with visible bandages on her face, appearing frail and injured. According to him, it was clear from the photos that she had been badly beaten.
“I have ever dated this one girl, and I remember one time we were together chilling and we decided to show each other memories from our old pics on the phone. She started scrolling her phone going down to photos from around seven years ago. As she scrolled, I came across a photo where she was in hospital and had bandages on her face. She had been beaten so badly and looked so frail. It was apparent she had received a beating,” he shared.
Andy said he immediately asked her who was responsible for the injuries, and she told him it was her baby daddy.
“I asked her who did that to her and she said it was her baby daddy,” he added.
He further narrated that as they continued scrolling, he came across another photo showing her in the house crying, with visible injuries and swollen eyes, reinforcing the severity of what she had gone through.
He added that there were several other similar photos indicating that she had experienced repeated incidents of violence.
“While scrolling again, I saw a separate photo of her in the house crying and beaten as well. Her eyes were even swollen. I saw other such photos which showed she used to be beaten severally,” Andy said.
Warning to men
Andy used the moment to issue a strong message to men, saying there is no justification for men beating women.
He said any man who finds himself angry or in conflict should handle situations responsibly rather than resorting to violence.
“I asked her why she stayed with such an abusive man, and my message here is to men: you must be very weak for you to even tolerate the thought of beating a girl,” he said.
He further stated that men should understand that women do not have the physical strength of men and should never be subjected to physical harm, adding that any man who has a problem with his partner should seek peaceful ways of resolving issues.
He emphasised that violence against women is unacceptable and urged men to reflect on their actions and avoid abusive behaviour in relationships.
“How can you beat a lady like a man? If you want a fight, look for your fellow man and fight each other. These females don’t have the energy of a man; they cannot stand a blow to their body. So if you are mad with your girl, deal with it knowing you are the problem,” Andy said.
