Malcom Machaji urges Andrew Kibe’s fans to come clean on what makes them follow him
By Steve Ireri, June 28, 2026USA-based Kenyan content creator Malcom Machaji has called on supporters of media personality Andrew Kibe to openly explain why they continue following him, saying he genuinely wants to understand what makes the outspoken commentator so appealing to his loyal audience.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Sunday, June 28, 2026, Machaji, who works as a driver in the US, explained that he was reacting to the ongoing debate surrounding Kibe’s criticism of musician Stevo Simple Boy.
According to Machaji, he is fully aware that Kibe commands a large and dedicated fanbase, and he has no problem with people choosing to support him.
However, he admitted that he has struggled to understand what exactly attracts so many people to Kibe’s content despite the controversial remarks he often makes.
“Guys, I know Andrew Kibe has staunch followers, very strong ones. And that is okay,” Machaji said.
He then invited Kibe’s supporters to use the comment section to explain what they admire about the former radio presenter, insisting that he wanted honest responses from those who actually follow him.
“I want those followers of his to comment and share with us why they follow him and why they listen to him so other people can know what is unique about him,” he said.

Machaji urged those who are not Kibe’s followers to refrain from joining the conversation, saying he was only interested in hearing directly from the content creator’s supporters.
“And if you are not his follower, then don’t comment because we want to know something,” he added.
The US-based Kenyan also expressed surprise that many women continue supporting Kibe despite some of his controversial views.
According to him, he would especially like female followers to explain what they find appealing about the outspoken personality.
“Because I saw there are even ladies who follow him. I want to also understand what you see in him,” he said.
While acknowledging that everyone is entitled to their opinions, Machaji criticised what he described as personal attacks targeting physical attributes that people have no control over.
Without directly revisiting every remark made by Kibe, Machaji maintained that mocking another man’s height was inappropriate because it was something determined by nature rather than personal choice.
“But I feel it’s not right to tell another man that he is short because of things involving their parents,” he stated.
Machaji’s comments come amid growing public debate sparked by Andrew Kibe’s recent remarks about Stevo Simple Boy.
During an appearance on Dr Ofweneke’s Lessons at 30 podcast, Kibe questioned whether Stevo should have children and criticised his appearance, comments that have since drawn widespread backlash from Kenyans online.
Several public figures have since come to Stevo’s defence, including Pastor Victor Kanyari, who questioned Kibe’s own appearance, and dancer Tileh Pacbro, who described Stevo as a great father while condemning personal attacks against fellow men.
