In a Facebook message on Saturday, May 30, 2026, Kivuti, who had previously mourned Jane’s passing, returned to social media to share details of her final send-off, describing her as a woman who served his family with grace, integrity, and compassion throughout the 30 years she worked in his household.
In the emotional message, the former senator said his family had gathered to accompany Jane on her final journey and to honour the remarkable legacy she leaves behind after three decades of dedicated service.
“Today, we walked Ms Ferdinada Jane Nguga Njue on her final journey. As a family, we honour her for thirty (30) years of remarkable service, delivered with grace, integrity, and a compassionate spirit,” he shared.
According to Kivuti, Jane was much more than a household assistant; she was also an astute businesswoman and a Trainer of Trainers (TOT) who played a role in social, economic, and community empowerment initiatives across different communities.
He praised her commitment, professionalism, and the values she displayed throughout her life, saying her contribution extended beyond the walls of his home and touched many lives.

The former senator also revealed that Jane leaves behind a son, Melvin, adding that his family intends to continue supporting him even after her death.
Kivuti said the family would carry on the journey Jane had started for her son, a promise that underscored the close bond that had developed between her and the family during the three decades she spent working in their home.
The latest message comes just days after Kivuti announced her death, describing her as an integral member of his household who had transformed their house into a home through love, warmth, kindness, and unwavering support.
At the time, he noted that her presence brought comfort and stability to the family, while her hospitality made everyone who visited their home feel welcome.
Her death had left the family heartbroken, with Kivuti saying they were struggling to come to terms with losing someone who had been part of their daily lives for such a long period. “We will continue the journey Jane started for her son.
